Gaming – from Something to Everything

No person can deny that how much they love gaming. Every person born between the 1980-90s knows what gaming means to them. Sitting with their friends, siblings in front of TV sets or computers with hands on consoles or keyboard was something that anyone won’t ever forget. Everyone back then was so enthusiastic to beat each other’s high score. Gaming parlours were also a hit back then, weekend or leisure time meant to go there with cheerful faces to get the most out of that time – have fun to the fullest; indeed they were the good old days.   I still remember playing Contra, Mario, Dave, and Prince to the extent that I would   often miss my meals to play them. Turning point for me was into to Road rash – the first game I ever completed. Very soon there were technological advancements & the overall quality of gaming increased. By the end of the 90s there were some games that attained immense popularity and success, like – Age of Empires, Duke Nukem, Quake 2, Unreal ...

Acceptance – a word, a myth?

‘YES’ is the first word we usually say when we agree for something. But agreeing doesn’t always mean that it has been accepted. I know it sounds contradictory but that’s the harsh reality of today’s ‘modern’ generation. Indeed we live in the 21 st century but still there are some whose mentality hasn’t left the 90s. They still believe that topics like The Same Sex Marriage or A Wife Working While the Husband Babysits is unconventional. . The role of acceptance and denial has been into play from a very long time and has been feeding on human brain till present times. The world has seen those times on numerous occasions, being the topic of untouchability (where high caste people used to seclude themselves from the lower caste people )  or the topic of Apartheid (majority of nonwhites South African population would be forced to live in separate areas from white and use separate public facilities, also the contact between the two communities would be limited). Digital Currency – Learning with it or Learning from it?

During Stone Age, humans were quite young with limited thinking capabilities, at that time there weren’t any mode of money or any currency system. Basically no selling or purchasing of items, only hunting and sharing so as to survive the different seasons. But gradually with changing times and evolving human brain functionalities, the concept of Barter System was created. Barter System was nothing but exchange of goods for goods. In Layman’s term, people exchanged services and goods for other services and goods in return. Bartering doesn’t involve money which is its advantage. In modern world the system is still in effect – a common example being internet. Compared to old world where this system was limited to relatively small geographical area, in the present era this system operates worldwide.
